Best asian food Order Online

jin house

Others brought us our food and drinks and they were very nice as well....great place. Love this place great Chinese food and Sushi. Food is always great and the service is always great.

Jinya Ramen Bar

This used to be the best place in town. Good food but one staff member was very rude. I always get my chicken grilled when I go there. The last time I was there this young kid told me no I can't get grilled chicken because they were to busy.... I told him I always get it and that didn't make sense because it they are to busy. He had to make a remark out loud that orders are taking long time because someone grilled chicken.

He never once came back to our table. Someone else even brought out our food. How can a employee be so rude to a customer that asks for a service that they offer! I was nice and never rude to the kid either.

Chinese Mock Chicken Or Beef $7.75

But have been trying to order since they got back from vacation. No answer at lunch and now apparently they close at 930. Change your online hours and your to go menus please.

The sushi appetizer gave easy access to the best tasting real sushi on the menu. It was quick fast and perfect for variety lovers. Please bring it back with the habatchi.

We usually order a variety of sushi as well as mei fun noodles. "The Lady of the House of Love" which has been honored with many awards rightly confirms Selena Xin Jin as a great Costume Designer and Filmmaker. It won "Best Fantasy Film" at Top Shorts Film Festival and was awarded multiple prizes at the Los Angeles Film Awards, including “Best Horror Screenplay” and “Best Costume Design”.

Chinese Steamed Food

I couldn't decide which I liked better because they were both so good! Wait staff was also helpful and kind. Most small restaurants in the area don't have "professional" websites. All you have to do is search Jin House menu and you get a picture of the menu off Zomato/Yelp. I go there at least once or twice a month because the food is so great. The prices are just slightly expensive for a family of four, but worth it for the tasty food.

One of the BEST dining experiences I’ve ever had. Not just at a Chinese/Japanese restaurant, but in general. We ordered the dumpling appetizer and it came out with 5 instead of 6. One of the cooks came out with another one a few minutes later and apologized we had been one short, we didn’t even mention it to the waitstaff.

Everything is fresh and comes out HOT!!! So hot you have to let it cool before you can dig in. I have loved everything I've tried there. Their sushi is the best I've ever had!

I had such high hopes for this restaurant since the reviews are mostly positive, but was let down. The service was good, no complaints - quick, attentive, & friendly. Steamed pork dumplings that were very watery, both the King Pao & Garlic Chicken had sauce that was so thin it was almost flavorless, and the chicken in the King Pao was tough and chewy. Over all I was unimpressed and most likely won't be back. It would be hard to highly recommend this restaurant, especially with their prices. We would refer everyone who hadn't tried it.

Even though the way was not easy, Selena Xin Jin enjoyed the whole journey. By watching the first images play across the screen, from the carefully designed costumes to the visually powerful sets, it was an experience that she is very satisfied with. Me and my husband had the worst experience tonight so disappointed we have been loyal customers to this restaurant for many years. Both of our orders were messed up to the point I was unable to eat mine due to being pregnant and not able to eat vegetables because of the heartburn it gives me.

A really good value for what you are getting. I enjoy coming back into town and stopping in here to enjoy some great food. This place used to be so delicious.... Not sure what happened but it started going down hill when they replaced pork with hot dogs!

Location

Only drawback is there is very little seating. In winter it's cold in there since there are people constantly coming in to eat or for take out. I wish bluefin was available here. Good bang for your buck here but seating is limited and it has a fast food restaurant atmosphere. Mizu is my all time favorite which is 30 minutes down the road.

I used to love this place but now it seems this place has gone down hill since they closed for vacation... They no longer have egg foo young, replaced all the pork friend rice with HOT DOGS!? And no longer have any hibachi items all the things that made me fall in love with this place are now gone... Probably the best Chinese place in Amherst.

This was an excellent place to eat Sushi! I love tempura shrimp so I shared a meal of Pink Lady and Dragon Rolls. The Dragon Roll with the cream cheese was just creamy enough. Both had a lovely mix of flavors.

Great food but they have recently done a menu change from what I typically used to get. Some of the rolls I would get are different and I didn't notice till I got home to eat them. Food here is always amazing, no matter what you order.

The employee was rude and not at all apologetic toward the mistake told me to bring the food back because his boss didn’t believe me when I called to tell them the mistakes. Always amazing quality food and fast, friendly service! For those new to sushi or concerned with raw ingredients, try the Pink Lady.Never been disappointed with the food from Jin House. This is probably one of the best Asian restaurant in Lorain county.

As the latest win, "The Lady of the House of Love" is a manifestation of Selena Xin Jin's creativeness, passion and tirelessness in her business. What truly stands out here about the film is the use of spooky visuals, effective storytelling, and careful attention to detail that make viewers never forget the movie for a long time. The road to filming "The Lady of the House of Love" was not free of obstacles. When Selena Xin Jin, a remarkable designer, was challenged to direct and go beyond the limit of her comfort zone, it was more than a journey of creative exploration and personal discovery. In the short film "The Lady of the House of Love", made by Selena Xin Jin, viewers are allowed to have a taste of an environment where love, desire and darkness have got a tangled web.

As the director, costume & production designer and script writer of this film, the preparation stage has been very complicated. Before I went ahead building the team, I wanted to figure out most of the core elements and concepts by myself. I had the script written, drew the storyboard, dream location locked, actors auditioned & locked, the costume designed and tailored based on each actor's body shape by my own hand.

Unfortunately it's gone seriously down hill. No more hibachi or pork, the lo mein lost all flavor and they added (I kid you not) hot dog fried rice. It doesn't help that the owner screams at anyone questioning the insanely long wait time or an order being wrong. I myself have never been the brunt of his anger, but I've witnessed it being lashed out at a few costumers while waiting for my food. I really thought Jin House was going places.

Look no further than Jin House. This eatery serves up some of the most delicious asian cuisine around. Chicken was hard as rock and terrible! Manager started screaming at me because I asked for different chicken and grabbed my fork from me and started poking my food made a whole scene telling me she’s going to call the police! Like I just came to sit down and eat, enjoy my food and ended up walking out in a screaming arguement with the lady I will never be returning! Never have had someone get mad and rude to me because food wasn’t good and was just asking for something different.

The director, Selena Xin Jin, creates a masterpiece with the help of the symbols and the gothicism of the book. The film explores the complexity of being a woman and her yearning. Carefully chosen details such as the fabric, shape, and colors are what makes each character a reality. It’s the director Selena Xin Jin’s signature style that is an instant mood changer.

An all around amazing experience and we will definitely be back. I love their Smoked Salmon Philadelphia rolls with a side of Yum Yum sauce and their sweet and sour chicken. The staff is very nice and I received quick service. The service is still great and the staff is very helpful and friendly and you do still at least have sushi on the menu, however, the change in the menu wasn't good. There's no more habatchi and no more sushi appetizer.

Bad idea bringing in hotdogs and getting rid of the fried pork. Went there last week They are not using American pork? They substituted it with hot dog. Authentic ramen and a great investment can be hard to find. But at JINYA Ramen Bar, we have both.

In 1935 the business had become known as Miller's Dairy and started expanding the operation. By the 1940s they processed milk, buttermilk, cottage cheese, and ice cream. In the late 1940s a businessman with a decade of dairy experience moved to Ludington from a city 60 miles south to become a partner of the existing business.

A hot summer day in Ludington calls for an ice cream, and there is no better place to go than the very popular, very busy, and very delicious House of Flavors. The biggest news out of Ludington? Free ice cream with any dine-in meal has been extended until Thursday May 27. “This year our friends, family and customers didn’t get to take advantage of that,” said Barry Neal, who’s family owns House of Flavors. Due to the pandemic, House of Flavors has not had dine-in service for over a year. They’ve been doing take-out and delivery during this time, and haven’t been able to offer their free scoop of ice cream with every meal ordered in the restaurant.

He became the general manager and the name was changed to Park Dairy. The milk and butter segments of the business were sold off and the enterprise thereafter concentrated on just making ice cream. Here at House of Flavors, we are driven to do more than just make quality products and amazing ice cream.

One thing to note, though, is that they charge you an extra 3.2 % to use your credit card. We always get ice cream and enjoy the atmosphere. We stopped in again and had ice cream.

The monsters await you over at Frightmare Manor, where you'll be greeted by ghost, ghouls, skeletons, and more. Voted one of the scariest haunted houses in the US, the main attraction of the Manor, set in the original plantation house of American Serial Killer Jeremiah Lexer and his family. It's not a joke, you are actually stepping into the home of one of the first known serial killers in the United States. There's also other attractions such as the Backwoods, which is a kill structure that walks you through how Lexer used to torment his victims. Understandably, this one might be too much for some, but if you can handle the disturbing nature then go for it.

October is defined in Webster’s Dictionary as “31 days of horror.” Don’t bother looking it up; it’s true. Locked doors, mysteriously displaced items and an inexplicable warmth from the fireplace silently scream of an unseen presence. What we do know, however, is that you have to play the role of an independent archaeologist (think Lara Croft and Indiana Jones), and crack codes, solve puzzles, and uncover mysteries in order to escape. And since it’s brand new, we’ll have to tap in with you guys later on to see how much it’s changed. The Factory of Terror is also offering three new bars this year, which is a genius idea because something tell us you’ll probably need a couple of drinks after being scared to death.

Disowning them would be like cutting off a limb, no matter what they may have done. It doesn’t erase an evil act, far from it, but I can understand the pain of a parent in that situation. I think It’s Alive does an exceptional job placing its audience in that situation. Has appeared on PBS series' Monstrum, served on the SXSW Midnighter shorts jury, and moderated horror panels for WonderCon and SeriesFest.

After a renovation a few years ago, Fright Factory now has triple the scares. If you dread going to the dentist, steer clear of the Silent Scream Asylum, where you’ll be locked in with clowns and dentists, among other inmates. The other two attractions take you into other abandoned rooms, like the butcher’s room and an unholy chapel. Not to be confused with the Hundred Acre Wood from Winnie the Pooh, which is the exact opposite of the six scream-worthy attractions at Hundred Acres Manor. From the slaughterhouse that would make Sweeney Todd reel in delight to the disturbing experiments in “South Valley Slaughterhouse,” each one turns more frightening and mind-bending than the next.

As expert Nikky J says, "It's an incredible local haunt in central Florida." I think The Haunting of Hill House is one of the greatest novels ever written, let alone horror novels or haunted house novels. But whenever I come across a list of horror novels, the same names are always mentioned. But I wanted to create a reading list that might offer some readers the opportunity to discover something different because that’s what I want when I’m browsing for book recommendations. We asked Kylie Whitehead, author of the acclaimed literary body horror Absorbed, to select five of the best haunted house books. Here she discusses her spine-tingling recommendations, which include Anne Rivers Siddons's cult hit The House Next Door and Michael McDowell's Southern Gothic novel The Elementals.

If you don't know what the "tree scene" is, you'll never get that imagery out of your head after watching The Evil Dead for the first time. It's one of the most appalling and unforgettable scenes to appear in any horror film, ever.

Eerie, beautiful, and full of thoughtful meditation on what we leave behind when we go, Lake Mungo is both a classic ghost story and a dazzling effort by director Joel Anderson to tell that ghost story in ways we’d never seen before. Jordan Peele considers Lake Mungo one of the scariest films he has ever seen, and used it as an inspiration in making Us (2019).

The House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs (Buffalo, New York)

Paranormal Activity was buoyed by a unique form of guerrilla marketing that asked anyone who watched its trailer to demand to be able to see it in their local cinema. The buzz got the attention of Paramount, and what was in 2007 a low-budget indie picture got a 2009 wide release and made nearly $200 million. The horror landscape was morphed by its ability to make big bucks using little money and a creative found-footage setup. The Orphanage, which also features a cameo from producer Guillermo del Toro as the doctor attending to Laura in the emergency room, received a standing ovation when it premiered at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.

Known for terrorizing scares, the House of Horrors has zombies, demons, vampires, psycho killers, and the living dead creeping around every corner. The Haunted Catacombs guarantees fear-in-your-face special effects, amazing animations, and Hollywood-style sets that will make your heart race. With the help of haunted house expert Steve Kopelman, we found the scariest spooky houses and attractions around the country. Despite its architectural allure, Fond du Lac’s unique Octagon House hides a gloomy story. It’s whispered that a tragic accident claimed the life of one of the owner’s daughters within these walls. Today, visitors report chilling sensations, especially around the stairwell, coupled with the disturbing ring of summoning bells and eerie nocturnal screams.

We’re bending the rules here, since The Shining is more a haunted hotel movie than a haunted house movie. However, this Stanley Kubrick masterpiece is so genius that it deserves to be in the upper echelons of basically every movie list ever written. Not only is it genuinely creepy—this tale of the Torrence family spending a winter stuck in a summertime resort is also rich in what-does-it-mean symbolism that’ll keep you guessing long after the credits roll. Rick (Ray Milland) and his sister Pamela (Ruth Hussey) make the spur-of-the-moment decision to buy a lovely seaside home, and, as a result, Rick meets and becomes quite taken with young Stella (Gail Russell). The Uninvited is one of the first full-length haunted house movies, making it a cornerstone model moving forward for all other films to follow.

It’s also one of the most creative haunted houses, using techniques and scare methods that would never even occur to most. Be sure to wear clothes you don’t feel attached to to this freaky attraction. When House of Shock, the long-beloved Nola haunted house, abruptly announced that it was closing its doors last year, many horror lovers were disheartened. Luckily, the new haunted house New Orleans Nightmare has cropped up in its wake and delivers the same level of scares–even if Satan is no longer involved. Knotts Spooky Farm is a spooky–not scary–event with haunted house attractions and a pumpkin patch for kids.

This one is no joke, but it’s all in good-natured Halloween fun, and you’re guaranteed to survive. Also, watch out for nightly performances by Monte Revolta, the undead irreverent lounge singer from beyond the grave. It can be fun to push yourself out of your comfort zone, but I also don’t want you to have to buy a night light.

Boogerwoods Haunted Attraction

More than a century later, the ghosts of the victims are said to remain in the house, yearning for justice. Visitors eager for a taste of the supernatural can book tours of the site, while the bravest can spend the night and see what goes bump. This rambling Victorian mansion sits on a busy street in San Jose, California, and according to legend, it's haunted by the ghosts of everyone ever killed by a Winchester rifle.

In 2019, Martin Scorsese named The Uninvited one of the scariest movies of all time; “the tone is very delicate, and the sense of fear is woven into the setting [and] the gentility of the characters,“ he wrote for The Daily Beast. Thankfully, for those thrill-seekers, just about every state across the country—from Pennsylvania and New York to Louisiana and Texas—has a place that'll freak them out. Some involve a guided tour of one heart-pounding attraction, while others allow you explore a variety of bone-chilling scenes, sets, and scenarios on your own.

In the 1970s, the Perron parents and five daughters experienced a demon or poltergeist that physically harmed the family in a plethora of ways, including a scythe falling from a barn beam to nearly decapitate the mother. Clarence House: inside Prince Charles and Camillas home

During their lifetimes, Knights and Ladies of the Garter are entitled to display their Garter Banners in St George's Chapel, Windsor - the spiritual home of The Order. Clarence House was first built between 1825 and 1827 for The Duke of Clarence (later King William IV) and his wife Adelaide. From 1949 to 1952 it was the home of Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, and later The Queen Mother, who lived at Clarence House for 50 years. Until Charles's accession to the throne in September 2022, Clarence House held the offices for Camilla and Charles's Royal Household. Although they have multiple homes in Great Britain, and Buckingham Palace is now their official residence, Clarence House is the real home base—Camilla even hosted Christmas festivities there in December 2022.

The King lived in Clarence House because of its proximity to St James’s Palace, an antiquated Tudor building he found too cramped. From William IV, the house would be passed on through different generations including Queen Victoria’s second son, Alfred, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (also Duke of Edinburgh,) and his younger brother, Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn. In medieval times, King Edward III was so inspired by tales of King Arthur and the chivalry of the Knights of the Round Table that he set up his own group of honourable knights, called The Order of the Garter. They used to be limited to aristocracy, but today are chosen from a variety of backgrounds, in recognition of their public service. After the Queen's accession in 1952, she and her family moved into Buckingham Palace; in turn, the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret took over Clarence House.

Clarence House was next occupied in 1947 when the newly married Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh moved in. However, following Queen Elizabeth II’s sudden accession to the throne in 1952 after the death of King George VI, the new Monarch moved into Buckingham Palace. After Prince Alfred’s death in 1900, his younger brother Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn lived at Clarence House until his death in 1942.

Through the main entrance, visitors find themselves in this grand Entrance Hall, adorned with art. A visit to Clarence House explores the five ground floor rooms, where official engagements are undertaken. The residence was designed by John Nash next to St. James's Palace as a home for King George III's son—then Prince William Henry, Duke of Clarence, soon to be King William IV—in the 19th century. The three-story stuccoed mansion was luxurious, to be sure, but far less resplendent than Nash's work on Buckingham Palace. Clarence House is a royal residence on The Mall in the City of Westminster, London.

These can be found across the house, including informal images sent to her as gifts (see below). The Queen Mother swapped Buckingham Palace for Clarence House in 1953 and made a number of changes during her time there. Prince Philip had created himself a study with white maplewood panelled walls where The Duke of Clarence had a Breakfast Room.

But the final cost of £22,232 was more than double what he had originally estimated, the Royal Collection Trust reveal. Clarence House was formerly the London home of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother from 1953 until 2002 and was also the home of The Queen, then Princess Elizabeth, and The Duke of Edinburgh following their marriage in 1947. Today, it's the official London residence of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall and has undergone extensive alternations throughout history, reflecting the varying tastes of its numerous occupants. The royal residence was built between 1825 and 1827, to the designs of John Nash for Prince William Henry, Duke of Clarence. Over the past two centuries, it has reflected the changes in its occupancy as the interior has been updated to meet the tastes of its residents. The morning room was originally designed as a breakfast room and, between 1949 and 1952, was used as The Duke of Edinburgh's study.

Prince Harry Arrives At King Charles III's London Home After Monarch's Cancer Diagnosis.

The large, white stuccoed building sits halfway down the Mall and is nestled between St James’s Palace (the location of the Court of Queen Elizabeth II) and Lancaster House, built for Frederick Augustus, Duke of York. In 1841, Queen Victoria's mother, the Duchess of Kent, settled into the royal residence; she'd call it home until passing away in the 1860s. A few years after that, Victoria's second son, Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, moved in. Notably, he'd employ the firm Waller & Sons to reorient the building to the south, and have a Russian Orthodox chapel installed for his wife, Grand Duchess Maria Alexandrovna (the latter was dismantled following Maria's death). Then, in 1901, Queen Victoria's third son and his wife, Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn and Louise, Duchess of Connaught, moved in after ordering some redecorations of their own. It was commissioned by the Duke of Clarence, who in 1830 became King William IV of the United Kingdom (reigned 1830–1837).

Royal watchers worldwide can also tour the residence digitally, thanks to a virtual tour hosted by Google Arts and Culture. King William IV would continue living in Clarence House even after ascending the throne. After his death in 1837, his sister Princess Augusta moved in, until her death just three years later.

They will continue to use Clarence House as their London home until at least 2027 while renovations to Buckingham Palace are ongoing. Buckingham Palace will remain the administrative headquarters for the monarchy and the location of state events. Clarence House has seen several key events, such as the death of Princess Augusta Sophia. The house also witnessed the birth of Princess Anne in 1950, when her parents lived there before her mother became the Queen.

In William IV’s time, it had been fully integrated with the State Apartments and, due to the improvements of Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, in the 1870s, was the largest and most elegant of the apartments at St James’s. During the war, it had been used by the Red Cross, and in 1945, it had few bathrooms, only skeleton central heating, limited electricity and Victorian kitchens. The news of the prince's visit to London comes two days after Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles III will resume public engagements next week. The palace said the king had made sufficient progress in his cancer treatment and that doctors were "very encouraged by the progress made so far and remain positive about the King's continued recovery." Before the pandemic, Clarence House was open to the public during the summer months, with visitors given a guided tour around the five rooms and adjoining spaces on the ground floor. The tour of Clarence House would begin in the garden, where visitors could see the formal area added by the King in 2004 in memory of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

Four gilt-bronze statuettes of Bavarian rulers, by After Ludwig Schwanthaler, sit on top of the bookcases. They are part of a set of 12 statue reductions presented to Queen Victoria by Prince Albert on her birthday in 1843. The remaining statues from the set can be found in The Dining Room and Lancaster Room. These pieces come from the 'King of Hanover' dinner service of Worcester porcelain (c.1795) and are displayed in a cabinet in The Entrance Hall, on the ground floor of Clarence House. "The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have now made it into their home, so it reflects their taste," Jones explains.

Prince Charles first lived at Clarence House between the ages of one and three and later moved back in a year after the death of his grandmother, The Queen Mother, in 2002. The official Clarence House Shop offers a range of gifts inspired by the House's interiors and the works of art in the Royal Collection. It later became the official residence of Prince William from 2003 until 2011, and of Prince Harry from 2003 until 2012. Before Charles and Camilla's residency, Clarence House was the home of Queen Elizabeth II (then Princess Elizabeth) and Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh following their wedding in 1947 until her accession as Queen in 1952. The Victorian interiors were given a fresh new appearance under The Duke of Edinburgh's guidance and much of the furniture installed there came in the form of wedding presents.

Over the years, it has undergone much extensive remodelling and reconstruction, most notably after being heavily damaged in the Second World War by enemy bombing during The Blitz. It is Grade I listed on the National Heritage List for England.[1] The house is open to visitors for about one month each summer, usually in August. The short reunion was the first meaningful time father and son had spent together since the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022. Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games to aid the rehabilitation of injured and sick military personnel and veterans across the globe, by giving them the challenge of competing in sporting events similar to the Paralympics.

During this time, the home was also utilised as the location of the library of the School of Oriental and African Studies. Clarence House is, in fact, part of St James’s Palace, but as it has been used as a separate royal residence it deserves its own entry. Clarence House receives many visitors throughout the year - including Kings and Queens, Presidents and Prime Ministers, religious leaders, and guests from the many charities with which Their Royal Highnesses are involved. The Queen Mother's coat of arms combined the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom with the arms of her father, the Earl of Strathmore. The Royal coat of arms consists of three golden lions on a red background (for England), a red lion on a golden background (for Scotland), and a golden harp on a blue background (for Ireland). The Queen Mother's family crest, of the Bowes-Lyons, features two quarters showing blue lions (Lyons) and two quarters showing three stringed bows (Bowes).

"The major change has been in The Dining Room which has the unusual and striking bronze coving to the ceiling," Jones said. "The other thing that always strikes you when you are inside the house is how much the garden is present—many of the rooms look out into the garden and there is a sense of it almost like an extra room to the house." During World War II, Clarence House suffered damage by enemy bombing during The Blitz (1940–1941). Following the death of the Duke of Connaught in 1942, it was used by the Red Cross and the St John Ambulance Brigade as their headquarters during the rest of World War II. Clarence House currently serves as the London residence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.[2] It has been Charles's residence since 2003.

This entrance gives the residents more privacy, and is concealed behind large black gates, also known as the Birthday Gates, as The Queen Mother would greet members of the public on her birthday with members of the Royal Family. Charles had the house updated to his tastes in 2002, finally moving in in 2003; while the style may have altered a little, almost all of his grandmother’s furniture has been accommodated in the house. Clarence House was built between 1825 and 1827 to the designs of John Nash for Prince William Henry, Duke of Clarence (later King William IV) and his wife Adelaide. With a pristine white facade, Nash created a bright, stuccoed mansion of classical proportions.

The four-storey building is attached to St James’s Palace and is less than a five-minute walk from Buckingham Palace. In 1830 when the Duke came to the throne as King William IV his brother George IV’s rebuilding of  Buckingham Palace was still incomplete and so he continued to live at Clarence House when in London. In order to improve internal circulation a modest first-floor link was built in 1830 between Clarence House and the state apartments.

The Dining Room is enhanced with gilding and ceiling decoration from the early 1900s. The Garden Room was created from two rooms which Princess Margaret lived in before her marriage. The house's next royal resident would be Queen Elizabeth herself, then still a Princess, and her husband Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

Despite her early dislike of the house, it became the Queen Mother’s much-loved home, furnished with a growing collection of works of art, many of which were bought in the country house sales of the 1950s and 1960s. Currently, the house is the London residence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. They will continue to use Clarence House as their London home until at least 2027 while renovations to Buckingham Palace continue. The Palace will remain the administrative headquarters for the monarchy and the location of state events during this time. Margaret would later move into an apartment in Kensington Palace in 1960 while The Queen Mother continued to call Clarence House her home until her death in March 2002. Shortly after, in 2003, King Charles III, who was then the Prince of Wales moved in.

Clarence House became the official residence of Prince William from 2003 until April 2011 and of Prince Harry from 2003 until March 2012. After their marriage in 1947, Princess Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh moved into Clarence House. Following the death of Elizabeth’s father, King George VI in 1952, she acceded to the throne as Queen Elizabeth II and moved into Buckingham Palace. Her mother, Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, and her younger sister, Princess Margaret moved into Clarence House. Built between 1825 and 1827 to a design by John Nash, Clarence House was commissioned by the Duke of Clarence who would go on to become King William IV in 1830 and rule until 1837.

They chose the fireplace featuring grapes for their sitting room, which came from a house in Dublin, Ireland. Princess Augusta, William’s sister, occupied Clarence House after his death for the next three years, until her own death in 1840. William even stayed at the house when he became King, and he had the passage on the first floor, to connect his home with St James’s, installed. Now, as a married man and heir to the throne living in a small and poorly-planned apartment, he petitioned Parliament and his brother, George IV, for improvements to be made. John Nash was appointed, and proposed Clarence House, which would depart from the Tudor brick style of St James’s next door, with a classical stucco mansion.

Having taken such care in decorating their new house, the royal couple had every expectation of a long residence, but the early death of King George VI in 1952 changed that. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, who was only 52, now needed to vacate Buckingham Palace and she was assigned Clarence House, a building she thought ‘loathsome’. Queen Victoria had a large family and there were numerous close royal relations who needed housing and St. James’s Palace became the home of many of them. The Duke of Connaught, Queen Victoria’s third son, was assigned Clarence House which he used until his death in 1942. In November 1947, it was announced that Princess Elizabeth and Prince Philip would make their home at Clarence House.

From 1953 until 2002 it was home to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother,[3] and before her, it was the official home of her daughter, Princess Elizabeth, the future Queen Elizabeth II. Grant Harrold, a former butler to King Charles, said that he had "no doubt" that the King's' diagnosis would bring the family closer together again. "But of course the death of the Queen didn't solder it together, but perhaps the worry of their father will - but I really find it very difficult to speculate." He does not have prostate cancer, although the disease was discovered during treatment for a benign enlarged prostate.

Clarence House was also the London home of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother for almost five decades. She moved in with her daughter, Princess Margaret, shortly before the Coronation in 1953 until 2002. Here's everything you need to know about Clarence House, including when it was built and the inspiration behind its interiors. The Prince and Princess paid for the latter category themselves, partly funded by money given as wedding presents. During World War II, the house was damaged by enemy bombing during The Blitz in 1940 and 1941. Following the death of the Duke of Connaught in 1942, Clarence House became a hub for the Red Cross and St John Ambulance Bridage for the rest of the war.

From receptions to royal Christmas parties, the house has opened its doors to a host of guests over the years. Clarence House has five bedrooms, a drawing room with a central fireplace, and a morning room filled with personal photographs, artworks and antiques. During the Queen Mother’s long residence, little had been done to the infrastructure of the house, and in 2002, a major project started to remove asbestos, install automatic fire detection and rewire the building. This was undertaken at a cost of £4.5 million from the royal palaces’ maintenance grant. The Prince paid a further £1.6 million from his own funds for internal redecoration and arrangement.

The couple moved in after their marriage in 1947, and had the building modernized with more up-to-date electrical, heat, and hot water systems. However, with some wartime rationing and restrictions still in place, the renovations were modest—as were the aesthetic updates, overseen by Philip. Harry spoke with his father about the cancer diagnosis before leaving the U.S., Buckingham Palace said. The king personally informed both of his sons, Harry and William, the Prince of Wales, and his siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, about his health. Meanwhile, the morning room was originally designed as the breakfast room and, between 1949 and 1952, was used as The Duke of Edinburgh's study. It was also where Prince William and Kate Middleton, now the Prince and Princess of Wales, conducted their official engagement interview in 2010.

Her daughter, Queen Victoria, and grandchildren would often visit from their nearby home in Buckingham Palace. With Princess Elizabeth’s accession as Queen, the royal couple moved to Buckingham Palace. The collection was particularly strong in 20th-century British art, embracing important works by John Piper, Graham Sutherland, WS Sickert and Augustus John. She also purchased superb examples of Fabergé, English porcelain and silver, particularly pieces relating to the Bowes-Lyon family. The Queen Mother greatly enjoyed hosting luncheons and evening receptions at Clarence House.

Flight cancelled and was told by a rude gate agent that they don’t accommodate on other airlines. Had to wait 5 hours for a connecting flight that had a 7 hour layover. Would not allow bags to be checked early so we couldn’t go through security .Had to rent a car for the afternoon to store bags and get a meal. No apology or reason given for the cancellation- just rudeness. I paid extra to have more legroom and it is definitely worth it for a six hour flight. I would’ve paid for a decent dinner, but they didn’t offer anything but a snack box —not good for six hours. First the good, everyone was friendly and efficient.

While raising him, she unintentionally convinced him he was the King of Demons. Upon Luz's return, King and Eda reunite with her and aid her in befriending the Collector and destroying Belos once and for all. In the epilogue, King's developing Titan powers allow him to create a new glyph system, which he begins to teach Luz.

Lilith Clawthorne

Eda feigns being happy for him but when King also says he has something important to tell Eda, but she tells him to inform her later, as she is too afraid to hear it. Outside of her romantic interest, “Eda’s Requiem” brought Eda to a point in her character arc that she’s been avoiding for some time. Soon, Luz will return to the human world and King is searching for his father. It’s quite a nuanced story while dealing with very the very commonly found family trope. The episode opens with her coming to terms that she’s neither of their birth mother making her run from her responsibility to them. In season two, Kikimora shows more of her ruthless side as she uses her dragon in an attempt to murder Hunter and take credit for his mission of retrieving palismen.

In their youth, Eda looked up to her older sister who displayed magnificent magical powers and worked hard to be better at it. Over time, it is heavily implied that Eda's powers became greater than Lilith's, and she developed the urge to learn more her own way; making her disruptive and rebellious against authority. This resulted in her earning a reputation while attending Hexside School of Magic and Demonics and forever leaving an imprint on Principal Bump. When the Emperor's Coven began searching for those to join them, Eda and Lilith expressed interest. Unbeknownst to Eda, Lilith feared that she was far more powerful than her and in a bout of jealousy, cursed her in her sleep.

A colleague called her TV show ‘a dumb idea.’ It’s already been picked up for Season 2

Lilith uses her magic to share the curse with her, slightly restoring her to normal. Eda realizes that her and Lilith's powers have diminished, now knows that she will relearn her magic, now that she is closer to Luz. Eda sneaked into the room holding King's crown in the Conformatorium with Luz and King. Before they can escape, Warden Wrath comes up from behind Eda and beheads her. Instead of arresting her, he decides to ask her out, saying he finds her alluring.

On the day of the Gland Prix, King once again tries to tell Eda something, but she tells him to inform her after the race ends. However, the raid was a trap set up by Head Witches Darius Deamonne and Eberwolf, and with three of the BATs captured, Eda and Raine are forced to hide. The two witches manage to hide and distract their pursuers long enough for Raine to set up a plan; the Day of Unity requires all nine Head Witches, and Raine proposes that they take out both Eberwolf and Darius to impede Emperor Belos' plans.

To make matters even worse, Eda realizes that the covention's mystery guest is none other than her older sister and the current leader of the Emperor's Coven, Lilith. The two sisters cross paths shortly after the event, much to Eda's displeasure. Lilith does not hesitate to criticize Eda's life choices of being a covenless fugitive, while on the other hand, she is mentoring the next generation of powerful witches. Eda tells her about her own student, Luz, and bets she is better than her students.

Besides the portal, Eda also scavenges for human garbage from beached trash slugs, much to Luz's disgust. Her apprentice is hoping to read ancient scrolls or mix potions, but Eda is not interested, as these activities remind her of magic school. Eda claims to have dropped out of school, as in her opinion, magic is supposed to be wild and unpredictable. She helps Luz find a slime ball and advises her apprentice to use it wisely. Luz opts to return to the Owl House, leaving all the human garbage for Eda to collect. After collecting the human garbage, Eda and King get into an argument over who is the better teacher.

One of Eda's spells backfire due to her weakened magic, causing apple blood to splatter all over her. Tasked with being one of the adult chaperones for Grom, Eda and King prepare for the event by dressing up as sharply as they can. When Luz reveals that she wants to take Amity's place as Grom Queen, Eda and King are critical, and she adds that Luz is too fragile to handle something like Grom. Though King believes that Eda might've been too harsh on her apprentice, she states that facing Grom is like facing one's worst fear. Luz ignores Eda's advice and continues her plan to face Grom in Amity's place.

Raine then confesses that Belos' plans are a lot more dangerous than they let on, and that he is preparing some big spell for the Day of Unity, but he cannot do it without every head witch. Raine suggests they take out Darius and Eberwolf using Eda's cursed magic. Darius and Eberwolf soon discover that they have been following Eda's boots, which kick mud onto Darius' clothes, and the two return in a rage. Darius turns into a raging abomination monster while Eberwolf goes feral and summons a giant ratworm.

The visual design of the show was inspired by various European painters including Remedios Varo, John Bauer, and definitely Hieronymus Bosch, who was best known for his surrealistic depictions of hell. Dana Terrace also took a lot of inspiration from Russian architecture as well as medieval church art. Terrace is the fourth woman to create a series for Disney Television Animation, after Pepper Ann (created by Sue Rose), Doc McStuffins (created by Chris Nee), and Star vs. the Forces of Evil (created by Daron Nefcy). The latter first appeared back in the late 1800s in the Farmer, Little & Co.

Storyline

The owl is wise, and always deeply connected with magic, shamanism, and heightened senses throughout the ages. The two characters Terrace had a grasp on earliest were the sharp and sassy Eda the Owl Lady (voiced by Wendie Malick) and the cute little demon King (Alex Hirsch). From early in the first episode, it’s apparent that Luz’s imagination and interests set her apart from her classmates. And neither her mother nor her teachers understand how to handle her creativity and dramatic flair. On a recent afternoon at Disney’s TV animation studios in Glendale, Terrace — whose résumé includes work on “Gravity Falls” and “DuckTales” — explained that part of what motivated her to develop that initial concept was her desire to prove someone wrong. This was devised in 1893 by a member named Joseph D. Redding, a lawyer from New York. If indeed there is a Secret Owl Society moving through history, then its most recent manifestation is at the mysterious “Bohemian Grove,” a 2,700-acre campground located at Bohemian Avenue in Monte Rio, California. Its members, possibly those same scholars,  journalists, and historians, are well-versed in mystical traditions, ancient mystery teachings, and eastern philosophies.

This society, called Schlaraffia, is a fraternal body with lodges spread globally, on every continent. Artists, writers, teachers and academics in the famously elite city of Prague founded the Schlaraffia society in 1859. Its aim was to become a place where men could cast their worries away and revel in art, humor and friendship. Established in Prague, Bohemia, 1859, thirteen years before the Bohemian Club, the Schlaraffia was a group of actors, writers, artists and musicians (similar to the Bohemian Club); and they too (like the Bohemian Club) use an owl as their talisman. Many conspiracy theorists point out the existence and secretive nature of the Club, but few dig deeper into the Club’s history.

The drawing of the bird has the form of a precious stone and golden color, which enhances its significant role. It can also be thought to resemble a shield, making this element a symbol of protection and showing that there might be a danger that one might face. The mesmerizing image of the owl reminds of drawings one would see in ancient caves, adding a mysterious touch.
